(howto-align)= # Align These guides show you how to get more out of the GUI while you align a probe. They assume you have already made an alignment, for example by following {ref}`tutorial-first-alignment`. How the reference lines are turned into an alignment is explained in {ref}`explanation-how-alignment-works`. The guides cover three kinds of task: Keeping and reusing your work : Continue from an alignment uploaded earlier, or save one that isn't ready to upload and recover it later. Controlling the fit : Stop the regions beyond your outermost reference lines from being scaled. Getting a clearer view of the data : Show only well-isolated units, change the colour and axis ranges of the plots, look at a single cluster in detail, or check the trajectory in 3D. ```{toctree} :maxdepth: 1 resume_alignment recover_alignment limit_scaling filter_units adjust_plot_ranges inspect_cluster view_in_3d ```
